【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofvolatilelossfromaplasticmaterialunderdefinedconditionsoftimeandtemperature,usingactivatedcarbonastheimmersionmedium.Twotestmethodsarecoveredasfollows:TestMethodA,DirectContactwithActivatedCarbon-Inthistestmethodtheplasticmaterialisindirectcontactwiththecarbon.Thistestmethodisparticularlyusefulintherapidcomparisonofalargenumberofplasticspecimens.TestMethodB,WireCage-Thistestmethodprescribestheuseofawirecage,whichpreventsdirectcontactbetweentheplasticmaterialandthecarbon.Byeliminatingthedirectcontact,themigrationofthevolatilecomponentstothesurroundingcarbonisminimizedandlossbyvolatilizationismorespecificallymeasured.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-Thisstandardissimilarincontent(nottechnicallyequivalent)toISO176-1976(E).
