【摘要】:Itiswellknownthatmodernelectricalappliances,incorporatingelectricmotorsthatusecarbonbrushesforcommutation,mayemitaerosolized,particlesintothesurroundingenvironment.Thistestmethoddeterminestheinitial,fractional,filtrationefficiencyofavacuumcleanersystem,takingthoseemissionsintoconsideration.Forallvacuumcleanersystemstested,thetotalemissionsoftheunit,whateverthesource(s),willbecountedateachofthesixparticlesizelevelsidentifiedinthetestprocedure.Thistestmethoddeterminestheinitial,fractionalfiltrationefficiencyofavacuumcleanersystem,withorwithoutthemotoremissionsmathematicallyremovedinthecalculationofefficiency.1.1Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminetheinitial,fractional,filtrationefficiencyofhouseholdandcommercialcanister(tank-type),stick,hand-held,upright,andutilityvacuumcleanersystems.1.1.1Water-filtrationvacuumcleanerswhichdonotutilitzeareplaceabledrymediafilterlocatedbetweenthewater-basedfilterandcleaningairexhaustarenotincludedinthistestmethod.Ithasbeendeterminedthattheexhaustofthesevacuumcleanersisnotcompatiblewiththespecifieddiscreteparticlecounter(DPC)procedure.1.2Theinitial,fractional,filtrationefficienciesoftheentirevacuumcleanersystem,atfourdiscreteparticlesizes(0.3,0.5,1.0and2.5181m),isderivedbycountingupstreamchallengeparticlesandtheconstituentofdownstreamparticleswhilethevacuumcleanersystemisbeingoperatedinastationarytestcondition.1.3Thevacuumcleanersystemistestedatthenozzleunderanormalairflowrateequivalentto150%oftheairflowrateproducedatthemaximumairpowerpointasdeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodF558.
