【摘要】:Ground-watersamplesaresubjecttochemical,physical,andbiologicalchangerelativetoin-situconditionsatthegroundsurfacesasaresultofexposuretoambientconditionsduringsamplecollection(forexample,pressure,temperature,ultravioletradiation,atmosphericoxygen,andcontaminants)(1)(2).5Physicalandchemicalpreservationofsamplesminimizefurtherchangesinsamplechemistrythatcanoccurfromthemomenttheground-watersampleisretrieved,tothetimeitisremovedfromthesamplecontainerforextractionoranalysis,orboth.Measuresalsomustbetakentopreservethephysicalintegrityofthesamplecontainer.Theneedforsamplepreservationforspecificanalytesshouldbedefinedpriortothesamplingeventanddocumentedinthesite-specificsamplingandanalysisplaninaccordancewithGuideD5903.Thedecisiontopreserveasampleshouldbemadeonaparameter-specificbasisasdefinedbyindividualanalyticalmethods.1.1Thisguidecoversmethodsforfieldpreservationofground-watersamples.Laboratorypreservationmethodsarenotdescribedinthisguide.1.2Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
